Default Search Provider

With your consent during installation, GPT Extension may set itself as your default search provider in Chrome. When enabled, queries you type in the Chrome address bar (omnibox) are sent to our search service at search.chatgpt-extension.com so we can return results and (where available) suggestions.

What Search Information Does GPT Extension Collect?

When you use the address bar with GPT Extension set as the default search provider, we may receive:

• Search query text you submit to search.chatgpt-extension.com.
• Basic technical data (such as IP address, browser/user agent, language, and timestamp) used for delivering results, security, and abuse prevention.
• Limited context about how the request was made (for example, that it came from the browser’s address bar).

This information is used to provide search results and improve the quality, safety, and reliability of the service. We do not sell your personal information.

Your Choices for Search

You can change or remove GPT Extension as your default search provider at any time in Chrome: Settings → Search engine → Manage search engines and site search, then select your preferred provider.
